Cursor (Admin API Key Integration)
Milestone integrates with Cursor using an Admin API key. Only team administrators can create and manage these keys.
How to create and share an Admin API key
Go to cursor.com/dashboard and open the Settings tab.
Navigate to Advanced → Admin API Keys (Admin API & AI Code Tracking API).
Click Create New API Key.
Give the key a descriptive name (e.g., “Usage Dashboard Integration”).
Copy the generated key immediately — you won’t be able to view it again.
Share the key securely with your Milestone representative.
Note: Regarding permissions, we only require read-access permissions.
