Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What stage do you invest at?

We focus on seed-stage investments, typically at pre-revenue or early revenue with a working prototype or MVP. We write $5M seed checks as the lead investor and reserve capital for follow-on in seed extensions and later rounds.

What sectors do you invest in?

We invest exclusively in AI-centric companies: core AI/ML systems, data infrastructure, AI-native vertical applications, AI safety and security tools, and autonomous systems. We do not invest in crypto, consumer social, traditional SaaS, or hardware-heavy companies.

How quickly do you make investment decisions?

Our goal is to complete initial diligence within two weeks of a first meeting and deliver a term sheet the same week as a positive decision. We respect that founders' time is valuable and communicate promptly throughout our process -- including a clear no if we decide to pass.

Do you accept cold outreach?

Yes. While warm introductions through our network are always helpful, we read every pitch that comes through our website and respond to every submission. A compelling cold email that clearly articulates the problem, solution, team, and why now is just as effective as a warm intro for us.

What do you look for in a pitch deck?

Team and technology first, then market and traction. We want to understand who built what and why they are uniquely positioned to win. The most effective decks we see are concise (10-15 slides), technically substantive, and honest about what is known versus assumed. No fluff -- we are deep technical reviewers.

Do you take board seats?

As lead investors, we typically request a board seat or board observer right. We view this as a service -- the Milestone GP assigned to your company is available for strategic guidance, recruiting, customer introductions, and next-round preparation. We aim to be the most value-added board member you have.
